Product Description

This pair is the sample version of ultimate glory dunk high. This design is scrapped and about 10 pairs of this sample version were made. They are different from the released version. The original concept of the shoes was to pay tribute to one of the most famous matches in boxing history and was at the time billed as the ¡§Ultimate Glory¡¨ on June 7th, 1996 between Oscar De La Hoya and the reigning WBC Light Welterweight Champion Julio César Chávez. In order to commemorate both boxers, this sample pair has their names ¡§Chavez¡¨ and ¡§De La Hoya¡¨ is embroidered on the left and right heel. However, due to unknown reason, Nike decided to change the design by scrapping the ¡§De La Hoya¡¨ embroidery on the right heel and add number ¡§0¡¨ and ¡§2¡¨ embroidery on the toe box. Therefore, this sample pair is much more meaningful and extremely rare nowadays. Also just like every pair of sample does, this pair is made by better material compare to the released version.
